We knew that Barneveld was devastated by a tornado in 1984 & we thought there’d be a museum. There was not, but was told that the library had many articles /stories about that terrible event.

"We spent 3 nights total over the course of a week. Overall great place. Amazing continental breakfast. Staff was exceptional. Only hiccup is there was plumbing issues affecting the area, so we dealt with yellow water for a whole day. Not the hotels fault but was kinda gross. Would stay again ..."

We drove to Mt. Horeb and ate at the Grumpy Troll. Great area. Lot's of fun. My 6 year old grandson is still talking about the Cave of the Mounds. Great trip.
