A nice hotel that we got for a decent discount. Really enjoyed the grand lobby and decor. Rooms are dated but fine, though beds are very hard. Breakfast was only meh. Pool area was nice but small, always people looking for a seat that couldn't get one. Pool is unheated, so even in 28C weather, it was a bit of a shock to the system. Probably the worst thing is that it's a 15 minute walk to the subway west, and 20 minutes to the subway north, and both journeys are terrible for walking. Sidewalks appear and disappear, change heights, are broken, you gotta walk in the gutter for a while, and then the road is always full of cars going faster than you'd expect. I liked the property enough to stay again, but I don't think I would because it wasn't really convenient enough to BTS/MRT in a way that felt safe.

This is an older hotel who would have been very grand in her time. She is showing signs of her age but that just added to her charm. We had a Davis suite which was great. Staff were lovely. No restaurant apart from breakfast and the beds were on the hard side, but great value for money and would stay here again.

We had a nice experience here. Stayed three nights all of which the front lobby was filled till late hours with Halloween party guests. I thought for sure this would be a problem but we couldn’t hear a peep once we got on the elevator to our room

All in all a fine place to stay. Sadly the front desk staff’s English was VERY poor. They appeared to want to help when asked but really unable to communicate. Our other disappointment is that they use a cab to do airport shuttles that cost double what we paid to book our own. In my experience I want a concierge who will help me find a deal not charge me more than going rate.

Pros: Hotel had a nice aesthetic - felt a bit like we were staying in a hotel in Europe, room was spacious with two TVs and a bathtub, floors were quiet and barely any disturbances from the guests at night, housekeeping did a good job of cleaning the room, front counter staff were welcoming, there is a bar/club in the lobby so the hotel was bustling during the weekend, our deposit was returned with no fuss Cons: The view from our room wasn't the best - it was facing the other hotel so we had our drapes/curtains drawn most of the time, housekeeping missed out on towel changes a couple of times, phone had a dial tone but nobody picked up on two different occasions which meant we had to go down to the lobby for any requests, breakfast was very basic so not worth the price I feel, back to the bar/club - light sleepers may not like this because you can hear the bass thumping late at night even how high floors

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and nice. My only complaint was that my hot water didn't always work. Also, it's a bit away from the train stations, so not the most convenient location. But i would stay again here, for sure.

So everything the advertiser is way not how it is when you show up. Ever give the, your card for your security deposit. They took $99 usd from me 5 weeks ago I’ve callled management went there in person. They just say it’s processing. It’s not they are stealing fractional interest. Every card that is charged that goes into a pull of money the collect and won’t return yours. Tomor will be we 6 of pending room charge they said they were returning. I didn’t have any damage or smoke. At one point the told me 90 days it takes to process the obviously stole it and will steal yours welcome to Bangkok.

Terrible experience on many points : the area around the hotel is definitely not the best in Bangkok, the hotel room was very dirty when I got in, the hotel has an extremely strong chemical smell (giving headaches and coughing), a part of the hotel is currently in renovation, the hotel does not have restaurant at all at the moment, I got allergies after going to the pool, … etc. I was supposed to stay 5 nights and ended up leaving after 1 night. That was a terrible experience.

Great hotel and area. Appearance the exact same as when I stayed here 5 Years ago. Specifically the hot tub on 9th floor didn’t have warm water and hot tub by villas didn’t work at all and wouldn’t turn on. Expected much better out of this property. Especially when I arrived with a sore back and no hot tub.. was given excuse of waiting on parts. 13 day later at check out both still didn’t work. Parts comment was a clear lie…
