Meliá Alicante has superb views of beech and easy access to promenade and eating house across the road. Our half board option gave us varieties of dining menu such as paella steak lamb chops and many veggie options for my wife.

We got a dirty room with leaking doors, which could not close correctly and therefore it was cold and noisy. Gabriella was very sweet and gave us a new room. But unfortunately this room also had bad doors, which led to cold and noisy nights. Also there was a problem with the “dripping” noises from the drains in the bathroom. But we didnt complain, because we simply wanted some peace of mind and good vibes. Besides that, we loved the location and the sea view. My husband didnt like the smell from the restaurant which was often very “fishy” and we know that this is normal but I Think there is a problem with the ventilation, because it was all day smell (even with no guests in the restaurant).

This is a well located hotel with easy transport links and many dinning options nearby, the room service menu was very poor, it had only three options for dinner including caesar salad and white rice but the hotel had a good restaurant with many options. We booked a room with marina view but we received a room on the first floor with the view blocked by an small building, the isolation was absolutely bad, we could hear the next room guests chatting and we were awaken very early by the people walking the corridors and the noise of the cleaners, after the first night we complained and we were moved to a better room on the third floor with an amazing view and better isolation. We certainly could come back but being sure we are given a proper good room for the price paid.

The room ac was not working and they only fixed it a day before we were to leave. Compared to other hotels the cleaning was not the best. The breakfast buffet was really good and literally a minute away from the beach. Hotel staff were excellent

Zimmer hatte kein Bidet, kein WC Bürste, Spiegel waren nicht richtig sauber, es war kalt in der Nacht und das Bett hatte nur dünne Sommerdecken. Im Zimmer gab es keine dickere Decke. Ganz schlimm war das man erst ab 7.30 Uhr Frühstücken konnte und wir am letzten Tag so gesehen 58€ für ein Frühstück bezahlt haben, was wir nicht bekommen haben da wir um 7.00 Uhr los mussten und das Frühstücksbuffet erst um 7.30 öffnete. In der Bar draußen mussten wir 2 mal den Kellner von drinnen nach draußen rufen da keiner nach draußen kam. Es gab vom Hotel keine Parkmöglichkeit da neben an renoviert wurde. Auto musste im Parkhaus gegenüber geparkt werden für 25,90€ pro Nacht. Pool konnte man nicht benutzen und Sauna da musste man eine Kategorie vom Zimmer extra buchen. Man konnte nur den Fitnessraum nutzen.

We have stayed in Melia hotels previously but felt this one was somewhat lacking. On check-in, the receptionist was polite but not particularly friendly or welcoming. She did her job and that was about all! The room was fine but not charming. Breakfast was a big issue for us. Although, on walking into the restaurant, the array of food looked fantastic, plates were cold, despite being in a warming tray - perhaps this was because we were in attendance promptly at 7:30 and they had not had a chance to warm up. The toaster was useless. We put the bread through it 3 times, as other people were doing, but it still didn’t toast it! Coffee was poor. By the time we sat down to eat the breakfast was cold. Why is it that a large, reputable hotel cannot get the basics of breakfast right? We did not enjoy the experience one bit. Thankfully we were only staying one night, prior to flying home. We would not recommend this hotel!

Our six-night stay at Hotel Meliá Alicante was a mixed experience, with a series of unresolved issues overshadowing its potential. While the hotel has a prime location, great amenities like a gym, outdoor pool, and stunning views, our stay was plagued by disruptions, including multiple room changes due to maintenance issues, loud neighbours requiring an ultimatum to resolve, and relentless construction noise starting at 8 AM. Although the suite provided for the latter part of our stay was comfortable and Francesco, the hotel experience manager, made efforts to improve our experience, the cumulative stress, sleeplessness, and reactive management left us disappointed. The hotel had moments of promise, but the shortcomings significantly diminished our overall enjoyment.

Great location and views of harbour excellent, plenty of food/drinks options close by. Room lacked some usual details of a melia like robe, slippers, but not massive issue for short break. Staff helpful and room had plenty of room.
