"I absolutely loved this property. It was cozy and beautiful and ideally located. The breakfast was fantastic, and the staff was very friendly. We stayed in two different rooms, including the lighthouse. Even though we ran out of hot water (at the lighthouse), the staff was quick to offer a solution - albeit, somewhat inconvenient - but they were nice about it. Really liked the overall feel of this hotel. There is a tiny parking garage just around the corner, and that worked out well for us. "

"I think Thon hotels has the best breakfast. I am a vegetarian and there are so many healthy options. We also enjoyed the room; It was clean, spacious and the beds were comfortable. The front desk service was also stellar. Just note: if you have a car, you might look for parking in the street during off hours as it will be less costly. But even more worthy of note, the garage is quite small and so it is best to have a small vehicle to manage in and out. But that is a small price to pay compared...

"My family stayed 1 night at Alnes Gard during our trip to Norway. We stayed here as a base to see Alesund and so glad we did! This place is a lovely little gem and we had fun exploring the small island. We saw lovely rainbows, experienced a beautiful ocean sunset, and went on a great hike! Would highly recommend this place! Great place and helpful staff for fjord cruise

"Wonderful hotel and staff, the two restaurants were very good and we loved the place. The concierge helped us get round trip tix on the daily Hurtigruten/Havila fjord cruise (part of their Norwegian coastal journey has them come into Alesund in the AM and then go down the fjord and back to Alesund that evening). "
