Definitely will be returning with my dogs, ideal location for walking with a friendly pub within walking distance. Great communication with clear instructions, before arriving and after. Ian kindly contacted within a hour of leaving as i had forgotten something in the cottage. "

"Absolutely perfect stay in the Cowshed. Property was clean and had everything we needed for our stay, including kitchen utensils and some disposables which aren't always provided so that was a bonus. Lovely welcome basket of local produce provided on arrival. Property owner was easily reachable and quick to respond when needed."

"I live near Southampton and run a company based near Stoke and this is my favourite perch; the kitchen lets me eat normally as I tend to keep strange hours. Just right size and facilities for me. Could just as well be a perch for a countryside break. Highly recommended "

"We’ve stayed in the other property and that seemed to be abit more updated than this one. It advertised as having internet but as property is so remote and thick cottage stone we couldn’t get any internet. Also kitchen area may be needs some updating. All in all had a lovely time. "

"Location was excellent for walks, Castleton centre, pubs & restaurants. The cottage is very small but fine for two people & a dog. The log burner is great but no wood or matches are provided. The little kitchen area has everything you need although there isn’t any space for prepping food. The stairs are very steep. The bed is extremely comfortable & we slept really well. Both the bedroom & bathroom are great, although there is a step up to the shower which is quite precarious. The cottage was...
