"Beautiful property. Extensive breakfast. The indoor casual (non-dining) areas are part of the original palace and you can roam around freely and sit while enjoying the space. The hotel rooms are modern, well equipped and very spacious - they have a closed off balcony. There is no access to the outdoor gardens from the room. The gardens directly in the front of the palace and around the columns are accessible. There is no access to what looks like an Orangery and the areas where the fountain(?)...

"Verdelago is a great 5-star resort in the Algarve, away from tourists and tourist traps. It is a vast resort with many things to do. However, potential guests should be aware it is not fully-open. The resort is under construction even though you would not really notice it. They have done a fabulous and mindful job in protected guests from this. It is a new resort and they are taking guests whilst still working on the other parts. There is also a possibility your stay may encounter some...

"Apartment style. Dirty and stained sheets. No sleeping pillows. Cobwebs and spiders in the bathroom and a colony of ants in the living room. Breakfast was a fixed menu of stale pastries and frozen/not fresh fruit, no buffet. Overall more of a 2-3 star experience than 5 star. "
