"GREAT place, near the art district. It's still a walk, but very nice to meander through the streets on your way to the Van Gogh Museum and that area. I took a bus from the airport that left me 2 blocks away. Good way to save a few bucks. Room clean, quiet at night. No complaints and would stay again. "

"Both restaurants were terrific. I had a party for six each night. I understand that the restaurants - as well as the hotel itself - will be under new management, by the Mandarin Oriental. This is a fine group, so I'm sure the hotel will continue to remain excellent. I'm planning another trip to Amsterdam in May, and this will be my only choice for hotels. "

"The welcome was almost ridiculously lavish, with champagne in the living room. The room (junior suite) was fantastic and we wish we could have stayed for a few days (we were only there for a short night between flights). Very comfortable bed, great bathroom/shower, skylight with motorized shades, and so much more. Highly recommended. Next time we'll stay longer."

"Good location, close to transport, nice and clean hotel, the only negative would be the lack of soundproofing between rooms - we were able to hear the people on either side and above us quite clearly. That is the only drawback as this is a 5 star hotel and a little bit more peace and quiet would be expected for the price. Overall good though"

"I liked almost everything about this property. I had two issues. One, the glasses in the bathroom were glass. That is very unsafe because some of the time you are in the bathroom you are barefoot. If the glass fell, and it is not hard to see how that could happen, you would probably cut your foot. Two, the containers of shampoo, conditioner and bath gel in the shower were arranged in a way that it was difficult to get sufficient amounts out of the container, which was a nuisance."
