「Stayed for 2 nights. Excellent room. 2 bedrooms with a kitchen. Room facilities and kitchen ware were awesome. The settings in the rooms, kitchen and bathrooms made the whole thing cosy. A garage for car parking. Very close to Big Bear Village and the lake, walking distance. Close to nearby supermarket that allowed me to make breakfast and dinner. Highly recommend!」

「It’s a great location. The cabin in general is very clean. However, there are some ants issues in the bathroom and upstairs bedroom. Other than that is a pleasant day. Also, if the living room couch can be a little bit bigger to host at least three people to sit that be great. Special shout out to Stephanie the host contact. She is very responsive and very kind to work with.」

「As our first experience at a Bed & Breakfast, we were spoiled! Darrin and Amy were incredible hosts! The place was clean, full of things to do and really cool antiques, we could have stayed in our whole trip if we wanted to! The hosts even served us breakfast! Can't say enough about our stay. If you are planning to be in Big Bear, we highly recommend staying at the Gold Mountain Manor!」

「We loved staying at The Squirrel’s Nest for the weekend with my family, it was very cute and cozy, the kids had a blast building a snowman and exploring. Very quiet when we were there which I can’t complaint we needed that peace. Will definitely stay here again. 」

「This place was not as advertised, and should honestly be taken down as an option to stay at until things get improved or drop the price significantly. It smelled horrible and old. It was freezing. The mattress had stains on it. The hot tub that was advertised was covered in dirt, pine needles and bird poop. The decor is overwhelming and straight from the 60s and not in a charming way. 「The house was very charming and spacious. They were great hosts as that stocked the bathroom essentials. We forgot to bring shampoo but were able to shower due to the bathrooms being stocked. The bed that we slept on was uncomfortable and gave me back problems, but I think that my back is used to my bed.」

「Hunter's Retreat is such a comfortable, clean, and lovely home to get away to.
