"Our brief stay at the W only served to remind us of how much Austin has fallen from the city we all once loved very much when we were young. I travel for work and stay in hotels weekly. I have been treated better at a $40/night cinderblock motel than how we were treated at The W. It all started when we pulled up to have our truck valet parked. Instantly, the young parking attendant gave attitude. He said, "I can't park that!" My husband said, with that attitude you can't" That was not received...

"Is a nice hotel. The pool area looks so nice but it was too cold to be outside during my stay. The breakfast that’s included is the best one I’ve had from hotels that include breakfast. "

"Property is beautiful and located in a great part of downtown. It is difficult to get into and out of the hotel parking lot. The valet service although well executed is expensive at $54/day. Overall fantastic experience and the on-site food choices were great."

"This is a great property that is thoughtfully designed with a very nice and accommodating staff. We’ve stayed here a few times and rooms near 6th street can be pretty noisy late into the night. The hotel provides ear plugs but if you are sensitive to noise, ask for a room overlooking the courtyard. Those are much quieter. The area is fun and near good shops and restaurants. Try dinner at the hotel restaurant, Verbena, if you can. It was a great and a pleasant surprise. "
