"There are parts of the hotel that are a little tired and in need of renovation. My room had a faucet that fell off - many paint dings and old materials..... BUT it was spotlessly clean - the staff were wonderful, the place has tons of old school charm (a renovation would need to keep the period character) and the location wonderful. Really enjoyed my stay."

Bonus is the complimentary coffee and tea in the mornings from 7-10am plus bottled water in room & a water station in the gym to refill your water bottles. We were on 6th floor and got a comp upgrade too which was just so nice. Bed was super comfy and slept so well. very quiet, didn’t hear any noise from the street which is so unusual for New York. We did need to ask to get our room hoovered but they took care...

"The location is spot on but at times it is evident that the place needs a lot of work. My room card stopped working several times and on one occasion I had to wait at reception for 15 mins before someone was available to assist me.
