"We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Talkeetna Wilderness Lodge. We'd been traveling in Alaska for about ten days and wanted a quiet break before moving on. Our cabin was a perfect solution. We rested, walked the trails, watched the nearby river, and enjoyed the screened porch. After a cloudy day, we peaked outside that evening to find the aurora borealis making a show overhead. We grabbed chairs and watched from the nearly pitch-dark cabin area for nearly an hour before clouds moved in. What a great experience! The hosts were friendly and helped us to feel at welcome in their forest home. "

"The cabins were excellent. Homely, high spec, detached with parking out front. Mike the Owner would have picked us up from the train station if we’d asked and dropped us there once leaving, although it was only a 9 minute walk. The cabin had heating, a ceiling fan, two large double beds, a kitchenette and great shower in the bathroom. There was a rocking chair plus table & 2 chairs in the room too. Nice fluffy towels and shampoo/conditioner. If we ever decided to go to Talkeetna again, we’d definitely stay there again."

The property is impeccably maintained and pristine, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The rooms were spotless and cozy, ensuring a restful stay. Maleia, our host, truly made our visit special with her warm spirit and hospitality. Her breakfasts were delicious and a great way to start each day. The attention to detail and personal touch made our stay unforgettable. Without a doubt, we would choose to stay here again on our next visit. Highly recommended!"
