"This was a quick get away for my husband's birthday. We chose York Harbor Inn because it was close to the water and had a room with a deck at a very reasonable price. Although it was too cold to be out on the deck, the large window in the deck door let us see the water and sky. The hotel restaurant had a high end restaurant with excellent food and service. "We like the location of this hotel and its proximity to Short Sand Beach. The staff is friendly and the food is convenient but there is nothing fancy or outstanding about this well-established place, which is fine. The rooms are large enough for a family of 5 and parking is easy. We stay here several times a year and always have fun. (Anthony’s on the highway is great for a slice of pizza or a good sandwich!) York is a favorite. "

"Fun location in a classic American seaside town, great spot for a couple of Nova Scotians to explore the area and make a daytrip to Boston. Room was a little old and cramped but clean enough and functional, although a microwave would have been good. I wouldn't stay here in peak season though, the town would be jam packed, and the hotel was loud enough in October due to overlooking the pool and kids playing soccer in the parking lot.
