"We really enjoyed our stay. Very dated, bare-bones lodging but the staff was friendly. Free breakfast included a made-to-order omelette station. The restaurant was lively on Friday and the food was fresh and cocktails nicely made. It was an older, chill crowd overall that was staying there during our visit. "

"Garden Gate B&B is located near the actual Sturgeon Bay, which cuts across most of Door County from Green Bay . There is a shipyard directly across the street, but it isn't intrusive. Whistles at the start and end of the shift , that's about it. While the immediate area is unremarkable, the place is close to downtown in one direction and a lovely park on the bay in the other. "Cute little and eclectic studio with a whimsy vibe was everything advertised. We stayed two nights and it was hard to pack up and leave. Easy and safe walk to downtown with artsy shops and intriguing dining options made for a fun and low stress weekend getaway - easy access to Door County adventure and amenities.
