「There aren’t many hotels to choose from in Hakkari. Hotel Sibar is central, on street parking is available, the staff are helpful and some speak English. I’m not convinced that at £80 per night it is better value than other hotels in the Van or Hakkari region.」

「This is not a bad hotel. The biggest problem I had was that the room is advertised on Hotels.com as being air-conditioned but it is not air-conditioned and there are no air-conditioned in the whole hotel. The temperature when I arrived in Tatvan was 41c. After talking to 4 different people on Hotels.com on the phone for 90 minutes I managed to get a fan put in the room.」

「The stay was amazing! Very centrally located to the very few excursions that are offered. When staying in the area I would highly recommend. Everything is ordered via room service. The folks are very accommodating.」

「No AC so the room was hot. We opened the window which helped a little but was very noisy due to being on a busy street and made the room smell of car exhaust. The bathroom was dirty with hair on the floor, empty toilet paper, and empty soap. The linens were also dirty with black smears on the pillows. 」
