"IlWe went in the office season and literally had the entire house to ourselves. We had our own designated room but all the other guest rooms were open and it felt like being in a home and not a hotel. The bed was comfortable with plenty of blankets and nice pillows. Every room has a gas fireplace to provide heat. The whirlpool tub was outstanding. Breakfast was included and some of the best food I have had. So much good, we never went away hungry. "As I had found that this property was once owned by my 3X great granduncles I was fascinated by the history and walked in their footsteps. As I descended the original, narrow stairs with the low hand rails I imagined the original women in their high button shoes and hoop skirts more gracefully than me maneuvering them daily. "Innkeeper Kerrie was kind and overall helpful. The building is beautiful. She has generally concerned about our ability to get to the third floor and helped us relocate to the coach house. One TV didn’t work in the space and the lighting in the coach house was pretty dim. The breakfast was good and she was willing to accommodate our special dietary needs. I do feel like some aspects of the house and yard could have been cleaner. Parking can be a challenge. "

A few things future guests should know: 1) This studio is located inside a Wyndham property called WorldMark, but it is managed/rented by Rosebud Rentals. If you have an issue with the studio while staying there, you have to call Rosebud Rentals for assistance, not the front desk of the property. 2) The valley view from the window/balcony is lovely. 3) The bed was not great. "This place was so cute and perfect for our needs. My husband and I stayed here with our two college age boys for a quick getaway to Galena. My husband and I took the main bedroom while one of our sons took the 2nd bedroom and the other slept on the pull out bed in the loft. "My wife and I truly loved staying at the Aldrich House. The service was top notch!! Great conversations, great breakfast! Very clean and tidy! Owners went over and above to please.
