"The room was great, very clean and we had a nice corner room, the bed was very comfy, aside from the pillows, which were way too high (for me). The massive tub was a nice bonus. We were pretty shocked and a bit disappointed that we paid for valet, and it turned none of the valet people know how to drive a stick shift, so we had to park our car ourselves. It worked out ok, they took a little off out bill for that, but something to consider for out next stay."

Price very reasonable for the size of the room and the proximity to the airport (1.2 miles from my gate). Courtyard looked pleasant with a large fountain snaking around café seating areas. Would recommend this option for a comfortable stay before a very early flight out of PDX."

"We really like the Mark Spencer. A friend introduced us to it. Located right near Powell’s, it’s an older building and a relief to be in a genuinely decorated hotel rather than chain buildings. Good coffee in the lobby, usable gym, great location. I don’t know if the hotel is backing off the perfumed cleaning products or was proactive with our request to not have scented products used in our room, but it was so appreciated to be in a clean, spotless room that didn’t smell strongly of fragrance....
