"Very last minute solo booking for family emergency. Picked hotel due to decent location and distance from airport, services, price and that they actually had free parking. Didn’t use pool, but was nice they had one. Everything was just fine and served its purpose for a weekend trip. Room had single queen bed, plenty of closet space if needed it, microwave and mini fridge. "

"For a low-rate hotel, I had a great stay. They don't provide amenities so you need to bring your own bathroom items. The facilities are outdated but my room was clean. They have an outside pool I saw a family use it on the weekend but otherwise was empty the whole time. I never used the pool. They have a laundromat but I'm unsure if it's safe to use as there are many homeless who live on the street and the laundromat door was stayed open. I'm not sure if my laundry would be safe to leave...

La Jolla cove is an awesome spot to catch site of hundreds of local wildlife including seals, cormorants, and Pelicans. The California Brown Pelicans can be found right next to the sidewalks roosting in La Jolla. December to February the males display a beautiful reddish to Olive green gullet. I love going in the early mornings to see these beauties roosting along the cliff side. They are literally 4ft from the sidewalk. As long as you don't make sudden movements it loud noises, they will happily allow you to take their photos. 😊. While there, you will see their 'neighbors', the Cormorants, mingling amongst the tribe! The male Cormorants might be seen bringing supplies to the Mrs. to build their nest! Absolutely an awesome 👏🏻 site to behold to see so much wildlife only a few feet away!
