"This is about a hour from IST airport. Also, about an hour from the touristy areas, Hagia Sophia etc. the area has bed afternoon traffic and I actually had to get out of a cab and run for a mile before traffic cleared to get into a diff cab to catch a train to Bulgaria. There isn’t much to do in the area around the hotel. It’s in a commercial/industrial area. There are places to eat up the hill about 2-3 blocks away. Hotel was very clean. The breakfast was alright. "Property is 10 mins walk to makor sultanahmet attractions. Room and bathroom size are fairly small for US travelers standard. But the family run business staff are good. "

"Emek Hotel allowed us to check in at 9:00 am which is amazing. My kids were awake every morning by 3:30 so we naturally had breakfast by 4:30 am and headed to the mosque for prayer. The location is ideal and close to many things, Hagia Sofia and Sultan Ahmet are a 13 minute walk, Yeni Dzamija is a 15 minute walk, a boat ride of the phosphorus is 13 minute walk, etc. In terms of the hotel, they have the cutest elevator.
