"We arrived in Brisbane a few days before Christmas from the UK for the first time. Combined with the Christmas atmosphere the hotel was amazing. Very accessible to the Queen Street shopping area, Southbank and King George’s Square itself was central and well decked out in decorations which was great at night with the festive lasers beamed onto the Town Hall building. The hotel itself had a large reception area, breakfast in Goldfinch Restaurant was impressive in a good setting and children...

"The hotel is in a great position, literally under Story bridge, 2 minutes from a City Cat stop and next to Felon's. Reception is nice, but a bit echoy if anyone else ismaking a noise. Rooms are nice, bed very comfortable. Our only gripe is that, after a hard days rain on the Saturday, we returned to a flooded room. We were moved quickly and without fuss, but to a smaller room. To compensate for having to re-pack, move room and un pack again through no fault of our own, a move to a better room...

"We loved the clean comfortable room, the beautiful friendly staff and the wonderful breakfast buffet. The restaurant was only available for breakfast while we stayed. The shower always overflowed into the rest of the bathroom so we couldn't reuse our towels as we had to mop it up. Another small thing - it would have been good to have some freeweights in the gym and some better floor mats as they were disintegrating."
