Carpets and bathroom were dirty, the bed was worn out, and while I think the vibe they're going for is spot on for trendy Bend - it also feels like they're trying too hard. "This is a new Marriott property, modern and clean. I appreciated the little kitchenette area in the room with basic dishes, sink, mini fridge, and microwave. The evening reception was a plus, and there is speciality tea in the lobby in the late evening. Breakfast is also lovely with some atypical hotel offerings such as scones. "Five Pines was the perfect place for our “staycation”! As an extremely busy couple, we needed a night away from the hustle to relax for our anniversary and Five Pines delivered! We stayed in one of the romance cabins with the huge soaking tub and absolutely loved it. The cabin was very clean and cozy. We will be back very soon for a longer stay! "

"2 friends & I arrived at this boutique Hotel to celebrate a birthday. Luckily for us this included a pre-paid comedy show in their bar/snack restaurant. The hotel lobby had a warm fire burning & comfortable seating. Our room was near the pool/hot tub. Pool was closed for winter, but they also had a fire pit in an enclosed patio area near the grassy dog walk area. $35 for a weeks stay is more than reasonable for the fee I paid for my dog. "I love this place so much! It was cute and quirky, clean and comfortable, and very unique. My room was small but very comfortable. I didn’t mind the bathroom down the hall. I enjoyed the fun decor. Breakfast was to die for, absolutely delicious. There were two types of frittata’s, as well as waffles, fruit, sausage, bacon, hashbrowns, and many more things. The looseleaf tea selection was amazing. would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others."

"Overall just what you would expect for a residence inn. What I did not expect and was very surprised was a daily parking charge. Fortunately, the hotel waived the charge when I complained because it was a surprise to me. It is less likely I will stay here in the future because of the charge. It’s a silly thing that irritates me. There are other choices in better locations which I will utilize next time in Bend. "
