"The hotel is for backpackers who usually stay at Hostel or 1 or 2 star hotels. This is not a hotel for business travelers - no desk. Plumbing issues - clogged drain in the sink. The room had a terrible odor - like there was some type of mold/flooding. The temperature control is limited to 22c. Toilet seats are strange. The common area is not really nice - also had a strange smell, and plastic bags of stuff strawn about behind the desk. The area is right in the middle of a busy market...

"Grand Hyatt has a distinctive design to its architecture. Service from Suzanna was excellent. However, when we booked the guestroom, we used the AI Chat to enquire about a rollaway bed and was informed that it’d be inclusive in the room rate. It was not!! When we brought this up, front desk disclaimed it without even checking. Such miscommunications would not have happened if we were talking to a human and not a chatbot. It wasn’t a good experience. I think Hotels.com should take responsibility...

"Mingdu Hotel in Kumming, China did not fulfill the advertised free shuttle pick up from the airport. Their contention was that it was an advertisement by a third party, i.e. Hotel.com was not authorized to offer free airport shuttle in its offer.
