"Overall a pleasant stay, was given the wrong room initially so walked in on a couple. The rooms air-cons did not work, although opening the windows kept it cool enough. Good breakfast."

"Nice hotel in a great location for the centre of York and train station. Comfortable beds and good selection of breakfast. My one complaint would be the air conditioning, the rooms were very stuffy and hot and the air conditioning did not appear to be blowing out cool air. We were given a fan from reception but i cant imagine the room will be pleasant in the height of summer."

"Cancelled our break with only 2 weeks notice! Very difficult to rebook with such short notice around the Christmas period! "

"Had a lovely mini break at this hotel. Very clean and in an ideal location for walking to the city centre. Enjoyed our stay and parked locally. I am returning soon with my mum. One star chalked off as I expected our room to be cleaned and made up. One of the sheets had seen better days, had a tear in it. I won't be using the bar again, far too expensive! Those was my only grumbles but not put me off my return stay."

"The Hotel is located just close enough to access the city centre - a taxi ride was £11 late at night. The hotel is very clean and the rooms comforatble, tidy, clean and well maintained. For me, the highlight was the staff. They were amazingly friendly including the cleaners who are not as customer facing as other staff. The reception and bar staff were friendly and attentive and the manager greeted everyone in the reception in the morning - when was the last time I ever saw that? Well done....
