「Visited for one night and we were both very impressed for the price. The staff were all friendly, the room was nice and clean. We stayed DB&B and the breakfast was lovely from the buffet. The evening meal was at The Fat Abbot and this was also really good. Following the meal we sat in the bar at the hotel and ennjoyed a drink in front of the open fire. Liked it that much we are having another night next week.」

「The hotel is easy to find and close to York famous city walls. The room is not too big but enough for single traveller. Reception lady is kind and offering help with my big luggage upstair. 」

「Good: The hotel is well located and impressive in its public areas. All the staff are friendly and polite The breakfast is very good Not so good: The room itself was not too impressive. The room was stuffy, safe didn’t work, and the shower was a trickle. Overall location 10 out of 10 so if you are out and about exploring York all day and arriving/departing by train it would be good choice. If you want to relax in your room then I would recommend a different room category or another hotel. 」
