Newly renovated rooms are very nice, and it's lovely to have a balcony overlooking the town of Willebadessen. Public transportation options into town are negligible, however. It would be nice if the property offered complimentary shuttle service to some degree or another, as the walk into town is actually rather far. Service is also inconsistent - there were a couple of pleasant staff at reception, but others were indifferent. No dining options after 8pm, so a vending machine stocked with sandwiches and snacks would be nice. Less rigidity during breakfast service would have also been good. I understood that breakfast service ended at 10:30 am, but why the need to shut-off the WATER dispensing machine? A number of people had lingered at the restaurant after the end of breakfast service, but when I got up from my table at 10:40 am to get a glass of water from the dispenser but couldn't get it to work, I was promptly reminded by staff that breakfast had ended at 10:30 and when I remarked that I just wanted some water, she reiterated that breakfast service had ended. Good grief. For a remotely located hotel with just one dining outlet offering very limited dining options, why not just leave the drink dispenser on as a courtesy, for people coming and going throughout the day? Also, apparently the in-room telephones can only make calls down TO reception, but reception can't call to the rooms so a friend had trouble reaching me.
