「With so much to do and see in the Yorkshire dales, the Plough Inn is the perfect location. Very friendly and helpful staff escorting us to the room and making sure we were comfortable. Friendly bar staff providing a good selection of wines, beers and spirits at sensible prices. The restaurant menu is perfect. Simple and straightforward choice and the food is the same, just perfect.」

「Lovely people and delicious food. Bar was very friendly. Spacious room (#5) and big and comfortable bed. No internet in bedroom (think it was faulty as it showed a signal) but OK in bar. Water pressure in room #5 very poor but clean a pleasant bathroom. No mobile service but that is obviously not The Maypole’s fault!」

「Cold welcome from a blonde lady at reception who asked ‘can I help you’ when I walked in with my walking gear on. Perhaps she thought I was not good enough to stay there but compared to other stays this was unwelcoming! A smile and a welcome wouldn’t go amiss! Other than that The rest of the staff were lovely. The place is pretty and beautifully decorated for Christmas. It’s a lovely hotel. Breakfast was cold & didn’t finish it. Partner disappointed with his breakfast also. 」

「Overnight meet up in Lancaster but this hotel was absolutely perfect. Staff were friendly and helpful - we had a problem with our remote control and were offered several options to help, including the offer of a different room to see if the TV was any better there. 5min walk to station. 2min walk to castle. Central location for town with a selection of eateries. Beds were extremely comfortable. Possibly some more hooks in the room would be useful to hang coats. Also hook on bathroom door...

「Had a lovely stay at QSF. The suite was well thought out and had everything we needed. The shower was lovely and the little touches like dressing gowns, slippers and lavender sleep spray were appreciated. We didn't have the chance to eat at the restaurant but it looked lovely and I would definitely like to return.」

「I enjoyed my stay, and I will use this hotel again. It's only 15 minutes from M6 exit 34 so a great place to stop off. With the sea front, just over the road, there are great walks along the beach. Much better than the chain hotels at the motorway services. That said, this is not a new build hotel with everything brand new, out of the box. 「Mainly fine. Friendly check in. Don't like the fact that my card was debited £50 despite assurance it wouldn't be. I had already paid so why the debit on my card? Hoping this is refunded ASAP .I understand a swipe in case of damage etc , but they should definitely not have taken a debit from it without my authority. BLACK MARK FOR THIS. A suggestion would be to provide disposable shower/bath sponges. Also bedroom walls are very thin meaning enforced listening to next room's conversation....
