「A really nice welcome on arrival. My room was amazing, a big 4 poster bed, old wooden wardrobe and period chair. Plenty of choice for tea and coffee. I had fish and chips which was lovely and I didnt see any plates on other tables that hadn't been eaten completely, so must be good. A real fire kept thing really nice and cosy and the guiness was spot on. Continental breakfast in the morning was great and my croissant was lively and fresh and warm.」

「This was a short overnight stay. The hotel is very clean with ground floor being a large public bar with new function suite and Indian food offer to rear. Theres a fair sized old fashioned restaurant too. Rooms are clean and well maintained, lovely full English breakfast served quickly . Very polite owner and staff - all in all good value」

「Athletes village is just next to our son's halls of residence so very very convenient. Parking was good. Staff, especially at check in, were lovely. Would definitely stay again. 」

「The shower head was covered in limescale and the silicone sealant mouldy, and the toilet rocked a little when you sit on it, the bedroom was spotless though, the staff lovely and the food was good! 」

「This was probably the weirdest hotel experience in my life. The huge manor has been converted to a hotel but has been neglected recently (including a time housing asylum seekers - Google it). The time around 10 of the 100+ rooms are being used so you “rattle around” especially when you’re the only guests!! The hotel needs investment but it has so much potential and you can imagine it being a thriving hotel in the past. Imagine Covid and only a few rooms allowed to open. We knew there were no...
