「Despite my late check-in, the folks at Middle Flass Lodge were ready to go. Very friendly and I was made to feel immediately welcome into their place. Classic and quaint.」

「Myself and my partner chose the green grove country house b&b as mini moon for after our wedding and wow they were amazing. Allowing us to check in early to being flexible and welcoming. The room was amazing and was everything we wanted and more. Excellent facilities and very very clean. Adding extra small touches and being super friendly. Breakfast was 10/10 and was both filling and really flavoured. We will be going back again hopefully in the future and maybe with two little children to make...

「With so much to do and see in the Yorkshire dales, the Plough Inn is the perfect location. Very friendly and helpful staff escorting us to the room and making sure we were comfortable. Friendly bar staff providing a good selection of wines, beers and spirits at sensible prices. The restaurant menu is perfect. Simple and straightforward choice and the food is the same, just perfect.」

「Lovely host, quick response to queries, good location with regards to the university. Walking distance to the pub. The only thing missing was a living room, but we knew that when booked! Great choice on the t.v too netflix and Disney plus. Really nice walks would stay again and recommend 👌 」

「Lovely people and delicious food. Bar was very friendly. Spacious room (#5) and big and comfortable bed. No internet in bedroom (think it was faulty as it showed a signal) but OK in bar. Water pressure in room #5 very poor but clean a pleasant bathroom. No mobile service but that is obviously not The Maypole’s fault!」

「A lovely place, ideally placed for touring the area. Comfy bed, great shower and excellent breakfast. Not intrusive but at the same time Pete and Sue were very friendly. Would definitely stay again in the future.」

「The proprietor was very welcoming, the room was clean and tidy. There was also tea,coffee, biscuits and water available in the room. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. They do not do breakfast but the proprietor recommended places where we could obtain an evening meal with a pint of real ale and also some breakfast the following morning. Would definitely stay there again. 」

「Such a beautiful spot to have a pub/ hotel. The staff are friendly and polite and the food delicious. My only dislike was that even though we didn’t have a dog with us. Our room had clearly been used by someone who had a dog with them previously. The rooms could do with a paint in places and there were some huge cobwebs on the ceiling.
