First the good - of which there is plenty. We had one of the junior suites. Super comfortable bed, amazing steam shower, great wifi.
It's a short but pleasant walk across the bridge to Mazzorbo for breakfast at Venissa. If you choose not to include breakfast, there are numerous cafes and bars on Burano itself - but these are mainly open just in the daytime.
It's lovely to be in Burano at night when all the crowds have gone. However, if you are fond of a buzz or nightlife, this would not be a great choice. Also it's slim pickings for food in the evenings (unless you are eating at Venissa, which I think for many is the whole point of staying here).
OK, all fab...except...the soundproofing. If your fellow Casa Burano residents are in the same time zone as you, then all is good. But if you are early birds and they are night owls, better get some earplugs. Or shove over in bed. Because it can sound like they are literally in the same room as you. Next time I would go for an upstairs room to eliminate the overhead footsteps, or the scraaaaaping of the chairs....A simple fix with some thick rugs on the wooden floors might help.
