I really hope to update this review when the hotel has gotten back to me...
First off, the hotel staff are kind enough and our room was clean and comfortable, smelled fresh and felt cozy after beach combing day after day! The views out our window were beautiful.
The reason for the lower stars:
We stayed for 5 nights, and found it inconvenient to be running low on things like coffee, toilet paper, and fresh towels. My husband wound up buying his own coffee because he felt like he was "bugging" the front desk. Also, the walls are incredibly thin; thankfully we had good neighbors the entire stay but could hear coughing and muffled talking at times.
The bigger issue we had, though, was there was construction happening outside of our room the entire stay and was incredibly messy and unsafe (tools lying about, junk piles, scrap metal, etc).
All in all I'm torn. It will be beautiful when the outside is spruced up and they fix the hospitality kinks. Once inside our room, I felt utterly at home, but the grounds and lack of attention left something to be desired.
The front desk is checking to see if they can offer us anything complementary for this inconvenience and I hope it's not a way to wave us off.
