「Spacious room. Very clean. Lovely bathroom and shower. Breakfast cooked to order- lovely. Only downside - although bathroom radiator was red hot, radiator in room only warm - so a bit cool in bedroom 」

「The hotel actually has two sections on two sides of the bridge. We were expecting to be on the water side but was disappointed. The room only has a small window facing the back of the hotel. Nothing impressive at all. The staffs were not helpful on anything. We were asked by the front desk to go across the bridge to make booking at the hotel restaurant. 」

「The only issue I had was that on getting into the room there was no heating on even though it was only 3 degrees outside, on turning on the electric heater it took a couple of hours for it to get warm enough to sit in the room. We went next door to the pub at least it was warm, even though it was near impossible to get something to eat due to it being so busy, we got back into the room after 3 hours and it was quite comfortable but not HOT, when we spoke to the receptionist in the morning she...

「Nice pub, our room was above bar so you could hear the bar below, it's a pub at the end of the day so you have to expect some noise. Room clean and tidy bed comfy shower good and hot, tea making facilities tea bags wont replenished. For the price of room it was value for money. Location good for the city center and railway station 」

「Fabulous value for money. Lovely and clean, except for a washed in stain on the linen, but was clean, so all good. Good to have microwave and fridge in the room. Only let down was the heating didn’t appear to work, but I didn’t mention it so may have been easily fixed. Overall great stay. 」

「The monastery has beautiful gardens to explore in any weather. The accommodation itself is spartan and authentic to the purpose, but is still good material value for money. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again for the gardens alone, but the unique experience is also an attraction.」
