I’m surprised this hotel has high ratings, as our experience was disappointing. Issues we encountered included:
Concierge Service: While helpful with our luggage, the concierge knowingly gave incorrect change when I asked for singles, then tried to cover it up when called out—unprofessional and off-putting.
Room Issues: The room lacked a chair at check-in, and the replacement provided the next day was a dirty outdoor lounge chair. Basic amenities were also missing—no ice bucket (took 40 minutes to be delivered), only half a roll of toilet paper (required three calls to get more), and no coffee maker, which is standard in most hotels of this tier.
Smoking Policy: There was no separation between smoking and non-smoking areas, with guests smoking around the outdoor pool. This was particularly uncomfortable for families or expectant parents.
Housekeeping: The hotel required 24 hours' notice for service. Despite our request for trash removal and fresh towels before heading out, nothing was done until we reminded the front desk.
Food Quality: The food was excessively salty, making dining unpleasant.
This stay highlighted the importance of choosing trusted brands over boutique hotels. The lack of professionalism, poor housekeeping, inadequate amenities, and subpar food made the experience unsatisfactory. I do not recommend this hotel, especially for families or expectant parents.
