We stayed in a poolside room. (I did not request pool side, nor did I state I didn’t want pool side when I booked). The room was across the hallway from a utility room and my goodness was it noisy. A constant drone. The room was stuffy so I turned on the room fan, and it was a constant rattle. We lived with it, as the room was nice and clean. March 10 was our checkout date. My daughter got up and used the bathroom. She said the toilet wouldn’t flush. My husband went in to see why and discovered we didn’t have water. He called the main desk and they said we don’t have water because they were getting a couple of water heaters replaced. Unreal! The hotel was pretty much empty on a Sunday night, they couldn’t have changed our room so we had water in the morning? They are in the hospitality industry. Wouldn’t that be the respectful thing to do? No we had to call the front desk to find out. Had to go to the front desk to get a key to a different room so we could use the shower. I had to walk to a different wing in my pajamas to get to the other room so I could shower and get ready.
Come on guys, do better. I know you were getting work done, that’s fair, but common sense should have prevailed. We should have been moved to a different room the night before.
