「Dated room with peeling wallpaper, lukewarm water, and small uncomfortable bed. Certainly not worth £90. Dinner was shocking, and can only be described as a congealed bowl of slob. Meals were returned to the kitchen uneaten, but the £26 were not refunded. Breakfast was ok, but served on a dirty table with last night's drink stains on it. The only saving grace were the friendly and welcoming staff.」

「Very very very bad hotel ever , the staff is very rude, the room is dirty, no hot water, from 9 pm to 2am , someone talking loudly in the pathway, I make complain with staff, they said nothing to do , it cost me 64 pounds , not worth it. Overall bad bad very bad hotel」

「A classic hotel with comfortable, spacious rooms. Friendly and competent receptionists. Nice breakfast. Continent breakfast self-served buffet or hot, customised English breakfast That take quite a while. If come by train, need to get a taxi ride of 8-10 minutes. We arrived late in the evening. Have to queue for half an hour at the taxi stop.」

「The receptionist staff was friendly and the beds were comfy. Everything was within a ten minutes walk from the hotel such as nightclubs, bars , restaurants, wool market and shopping centre. Decorated in the reception to the horse racing. It also had 2 ways to have a shower and a bath with a radiators in the bathroom.」

「The staff went above and beyond I unfortunately fainted that evening in the bar paramedics were called the owners stayed up with my partner till I was collected at 230 am fantastic service 」

「Loved the Indian restaurant within the pub, food was so flavourful best curry I’ve tasted, the rooms are in a separate building just off the back, so don’t worry about your room being tainted by curry odours. Pub does food as well which looked good, would definitely recommend 」
