I had an incredibly disappointing stay at the East Brunswick Hilton. After a long flight, I paid for an early check-in, expecting a clean and comfortable room. Instead, I walked into a room with dirty sheets on the floor, trash, and an unclean bathroom. When I reported this to the front desk, they apologized and gave me a different room, but the second room was even worse, it had blood stains on the couch and urine on the toilet.
After another trip to the front desk, they offered me a third room along with 10,000 Hilton points. The third room was surface cleaned but still not up to standard, dust covered the air vent, lamp fixtures, desk, and TV. The towels had stains on them, and after yet another complaint, I was offered an additional 10,000 points. Anytime I requested clean towels or extra blankets (because the room was freezing), it took staff over 1.5 hours to deliver them.
The only bright spot in this experience was the kindness of the Black front desk agent and the room service manager. Both were professional and understanding. However, the overall condition of this hotel and the lack of cleanliness made this the worst Hilton stay I’ve ever had. I’m seriously reconsidering my Hilton membership after this experience.
