High end hotel that caters to Japanese guests. Great service. Nice property. But, no English language staff. No concierge. After telling me they don’t have a concierge, they told me via an electronic translator that no one could give me any guidance on train transportation. The facility does not have a gym which I find odd given that it is a very expensive, luxury property. For those that eat at the hotel — which is what we did given that nearby options are limited — there is what they called a “french” or “Italian” restaurant. In reality, both restaurants are fixed menu Japanese fine dining with either a French or Italian flare. I stayed in a suite with an Onsen which was very nice. So, in sum, it’s a very nice hotel with great service. For the price though, I expected more. Bottom line, if you are not a Japanese speaker, you might consider other options.
