My big issue with Holiday Inn Express is the "every other day"house cleaning. Even requesting upon arrival that our room be cleaned everyday, it wasn't. I had to call and complain and insist that it be made up. Not a good company policy. If this is the norm for Holiday Inn it should be noted when people are searching for hotels to stay at.

Stayed at this hotel one night for business. I paid through expedia as i always do. When checking in the front desk asked me to swipe credit card for a secueity deposit which is fine. I had to insert the credit card many times as the machine was not able to read it. Then i tried my other credit card and it finally went through. So a week later they charged both cards for the same amount. This has never happened to me before. I would not trust this hotel with my information ever again. So be aware with your credit card

This was a great location! Room was very clean. Bed was ok-not the greatest. They had their own parking but right next store was a public lot that was even cheaper but you didn’t have in and out privileges daily. That didn’t matter though because the location was awesome for walking! Trolley stop right at the corner, River st across from hotel, city market a couple blocks away, The Old Pink House was a half a block away. GREAT location!

Great location within walking distance of River Street restaurants and shopping. Staff was friendly. Room was decent size and clean. Cons of the property were that the bed was not comfortable. It was stiff and the metal bedframe underneath creaked getting in and out. The TV kept freezing up so cable connection wasn’t great. Our curtains wouldn’t close, only the shades but the square around the shades let light in as well as the doorframe to the room having large openings letting quite a bit of light in from the hallway. The rooms were not soundproof at all as we could hear people clearly having conversations in the hall as if the door was open and the elevator sound was loud despite being around the corner from it (sounded like a doorbell instead of a simple ding so we heard that several times during sleep). The hotel was conveniently located, free breakfast was a nice benefit, and hotel was clean but likely wouldn’t stay again due to poor sleep from uncomfortable bed, lights/sounds filtering into room and poor tv connection to watch anything when we were trying to wind down in the room after walking around town

Rude employees at front desk and told at 3pm they couldn’t guarantee we would have a room when we got there to check in one hour later if we didn’t go ahead and pay after we selected the option to pay at arrival. They wouldn’t allow us to pay anything with cash including drinks at the front desk even though we had a card on file.

House keeping was supposed to come every other day. We checked in on Wednesday and we never had house keeping show up. We checked out Saturday.

Perfect location to enjoy the historic district and riverfront. We took uber there and were able to easily get to all the restaurants and sites. Great girls weekend.

The hotel was spottless! The ladies in breakfast room were on top things and very friendly. The breakfast was awesome, wasn't laking anything! If i were to visit again, i would absolutely stay there! Parking garage was next store...even though it wasn't the hotels parking....it was pricey..only negative.

First the pros: The check-in staff were incredibly helpful. They were able to change us to a handicap accessible room at check-in. The ladies who run the breakfast area were incredibly helpful to my mom, who uses a cane. The got drinks for her and helped her without even being asked. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast had many options and I was pleased at the amount of protein available (eggs, yogurt, sausage, etc). Cons: Parking is a big issue at this hotel. $45 per day for valet parking at the garage next door. You can get a visitor street parking pass in the same garage that gives you access to all street parking for $20 per day, but they don't tell you that - I just happened to know. The ice machine on our floor didn't work the entire week - despite our reporting it multiple times. There was a LOT of noise from the room that connected to ours - not much of a sound buffer between the rooms. Bottom line - I would stay here again if traveling to Savannah. The staff were exceptional.
