I was traveling in for an afternoon event and called days in advance to see if early check in was possible so I could dress in the room. Over the phone I was told it wouldn’t be an issue, and while they couldn’t guarantee in advance, that they would make a note in my reservation and if something came up, there would at least be a space on the property where I could dress and drop my bags. When I arrived and asked politely about early check in, I was treated so rudely by the front desk staff. It was frankly the rudest I’ve ever been treated by a hospitality staffer. I was not allowed to finish a sentence, and was told under no condition could I check in, get dressed, or even drop my bag. I don’t mind not being able to accommodate a request, that is merely inconvenient, but the rudeness with which I was treated was completely unacceptable.
