The property and the grounds were beautiful. The staff was very friendly and nice. I wish they would have offered complimentary shuttle service to local areas, as the uber/taxis added up with going off property each day. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would consider returning for a future trip.

This place is pretty great! There were minor spots of wear and there was construction going on in areas during our stay, but I’m not going to let that determine the overall excellence. All of the food we ate on property was outstanding. The staff were all incredibly pleasant and helpful. Our room was a little musty, but that’s more the climate’s fault. Would definitely recommend and stay here in the future! Thank you very much!

Very nice hotel with clean rooms, helpful staff, and especially loved the beach right on the property. Much more peaceful and less people than going out to a public beach. The restaurants on site are great too.

Fantastic Stay at Wyndham Rio Mar Resort! Our family recently stayed at the Wyndham Rio Mar Resort from March 15-20, 2025, and we had an incredible experience! From the moment we arrived, we were met with warm hospitality and exceptional service. One of our top priorities when traveling is ensuring a safe dining experience for our son, who has severe food allergies to gluten, nuts, eggs, sesame, and dairy. The restaurants at the resort—Palio, Roots, Marbella, and Iguanas Cosina—were extremely accommodating. The staff went above and beyond to ensure his meals were prepared safely, which gave us such peace of mind. A huge thank you to the amazing staff members who made our stay extra special: Carl, Ms. Williams, Eduardo, Gustavo, Carlos, Melissa, Giselle, Ana, and Sandra. Their kindness and attention to detail did not go unnoticed!

Very nice stay 1/26-1/31. The resort was not crowded at all so no waiting for anything. All the staff were very nice and helpful. Happy that they have running/walking trails and the aura pool was great to do laps. The food at breakfast was amazing. We got breakfast included and it was worth it. Roots and Palio restaurant were our favorite.

We enjoyed our mother and daughter vacation The resort is located in a beautiful area and the complex is safe and a great place for families. Our suite was lovely and we had a great view of the ocean. If you want a feel for the real Puerto Rico you will need a car to get out of the complex and explore. We took an uber to San Juan one day which cost around $50 each way. They are mid renovation and so some of the pool areas are closed and there is some noise during the day. There is a good selection of restaurants although the food is average and there is not much in terms of authentic PR food. The service everywhere was slow, including the take away coffee shop where it took 30 minutes in line for a coffee in the mornings.

Our stay was excellent with a family with two teen girls. The room was large and well appointed, and the amenities were excellent on property. It was easy to get a pool or beach chair. Even though we couldn’t swim in the ocean due to riptides, the river down the beach was a beautiful place to walk. All the food was delicious all around, and staff was helpful.
