「If you are planning a trip to pilgrim, this hotel take you one hour walk from the Lisieux train station. Because this hotel is basically at the outskirt of Lisieux. There is no transport in Lisieux town except local tour bus lexibus where you have to get day ticket. From the hotal to church is 45mininutes walk, so you have to well plan, because it means another 45-60 minutes walk back to hotel. Reception ladies speak little English. 「Modern, spacious building with large, spacious rooms, fully equipped. Excellent wi-fi. connection and helpful, friendly staff. Well prepared continental breakfast.」

「This was an overnight stop en route south. It's a convenient stop from the Le Havre ferry. The location was difficult to find, possibly because we mixed up 2 similar street names in the sat nav. Very good to find a simple restaurant with reasonable food after a day travelling. The only bad point was that we were put into a disabled room where the shower was somewhat strange. Also, the air conditioning did not work, so it was hot. The windows were sealed.」

「Everything was absolutely great: the hosts, the rooms (excellent mattress) the gardens, the aperitifs, diner, breakfast and the other guests. Sabine and Francois welcomed us like “old friends”. We liked our experience so much that we booked again for when we are travelling back to the UK mid July. 」

The hotel is very well kept and it’s conveniently located near restaurants, bakeries, and importantly all the sites if you’re visiting to walk the path of St. Therese. 「For the price €103, it absolutely wasn't worth it. It is situated in the middle of nowhere. You have to arrange your breakfast yourself for the next morning. The only thing you get in the evening before, is a bag with bread and some marmelade. The fridge is hardly filled and you have to make your thea or coffee yourself. Besides the awfull smell in the sleepingroom it is an accomodation far beyond nowadays standards. We thought we had become in a horror movie of the worst kind.」
