「We enjoyed our stay. Pros - new resort, great pool and beach, fun shows each night, friendly staff cons - distance from airport, some things still being worked on, but wasn't a bother to us, smaller compared to other resorts and restaurants had to be reserved at midnight 48 hrs ahead of time. 」

「La photo de la chambre sur le site de réservation ne correspondait pas à celle que nous avons eu, moins moderne. Nous nous sommes donc retrouvés avec une chambre au rez de chaussée de celle initialement prévue. Il y avait un serieux souci d'isolation. Nous entendions les personnes de l'étage marchaient sur le plancher bois et ronflaient. Salle de bain vétuste. Heureusement la personne nous accueillant dans ce lieu etait top. La salle de ptit déjeuner a une jolie vue mer.」

「Liked stay at El Pelicano but the pool wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. My room was good couldn’t get the safe to work but overall clean. I would try another place next time but overall experience not bad. Beach is walkable not far from the hotel. 」

「We stayed in early March for 6 days and loved every day. Frankly, everything was great. We didn't get to try the spa or excursions because we had a 15mo old baby with us, which takes a lot of time, but just the pools and the beach were wonderful. The food was amazing. Each restaurant had fantastic food. Even the breakfast buffet was phenomenal. For drawbacks, getting to the property is a major drag. It's a 3hr ride by car from Santo Domingo. 「It is hard to explain how amazing this lodging is. I agree with other reviewers—if you are looking for a five star experience, you need to stay in a fancy hotel in Samana.
