「A curious property. We stayed for one night on our way back from the far North of NZ. No on-site dining of any kind was available: no breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The "Cafe" was closed. Our room/studio was quiet, with a separate bedroom featuring the best mattress of our long trips to NZ. 「This motel looks quite scruffy from the outside but the unit itself had been refurbished and was quite spacious. Excellent beds and linen, but threadbare towels and no salt and pepper. A mirror by a powerpoint is needed for drying hair as the hairdryer can't be plugged in the bathroom. A handy location close to the beach and shops and surprisingly quiet at night.」

「Amazing location, loungers on the beach, fabulous beach front alfresco dining, on site restaurant served great food with a homely touch. Service was impeccable yet casual and friendly. Large rooms, nice bathrooms. The fit out of the room is nice but fairly basic if comparing to a 4-5 star hotel」

「I met a very kind receptionist when I checked in. I asked her if I could make a late check out at eleven o'clock for my flight at 3pm tomorrow? Surprising me that her initiative made the check out time at 12pm for me for my convenience. A warm heart and helpfulness. Ibis offered simple free breakfast at 4am-7am to convenience the early flight guests, thumbs up!」
