I had a terrible experience at this hotel. The room was completely unsanitary, with visible mold on the walls. The humidity was overwhelming, making it difficult to breathe, and the air felt heavy and damp. The beds were filthy—stained bed and an overall unclean feeling. On top of that, the staff was incredibly rude and dismissive when I raised these concerns. They did offer a different room, but it wasn’t much a difference as far as the cleanliness and damped air. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Avoid it at all costs. When asked for a refund after NOT staying at the location; (nothing was touched) we were informed by staff that they will NOT refund us regardless of the conditions of the hotel. Meaning they are well aware of the unsafe conditions.

I recently tried to stayed at the Royal Rio palace Hotel and it was a huge disappointment.First of all the room was nothing like the pictures online- dated furniture,a musty smell and the cleanliness left much to be desired. The walls had mold and the bathroom was disgusting.While the staff were unhelpful when i had issues with the room, there were no lights on the whole floor i was staying at , i went down to the front desk immediately and explained my situation and no one seemed to care. The location was not decent,Overall, i regret booking this Hotel and i will never to that hotel.I immediately asked for a refund and was denied, I couldn’t breathe with all that mold in that hotel,So i decided to go and stayed at the **Hilton Copacabana Rio de Janeiro and it was Worth it…..

The staff were super wonderful and always available whenever. They recommended great food, shopping and found taxis for us to get around. The area was very quiet, walkable and safe even during the night time. Shoutout to Julio Cesar for being so wonderful to us, made my mom a remedy when she a bit sick! He’s the best! The facility itself has some small imperfections but the service makes up for it. Would definitely come back and recommend for the price it’s worth it.

I recently stayed at this hotel, which is rated as a 4-star hotel. Unfortunately, my experience was not good. The service was very poor, and there was no electricity during our stay. Additionally, there was a loud generator right under our room that caused a lot of noise. Despite being a 4-star hotel, there were no basic amenities like an iron in the room. Overall, I was very disappointed with my stay.

A well located hotel, within easy walking distance of both the beach and Metro. The buffet breakfast was plentiful. The room was clean promptly daily. The rooftop pool was a nice area, however quite small given the number of rooms in the hotel. The biggest downside was the lifts, where you could wait a long time for them to arrive. We stayed 5 nights & paid for an early check in c£35 following an overnight flight. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel

I just stayed here 2 weeks. The property was deceiving from the pictures. Not exactly the quality portrayed. The place could use some updates. The breakfast spread was really good but was crowded if you don’t get there early. I recommend being early and you won’t be disappointed. The cleaning staff was very unfortunate. I know different staff clean different rooms so I can’t speak for all. The cleanliness of the over all hotel was good. The surrounding area was to be expected. I came to Brazil and stayed in the city. There is a lot of poverty. That being said there was so many fantastic little restaurants to eat at. Places you wouldn’t expect. There was an amazing little coffee shop straight down the road on the way to the beach. The tours the hotel provides were great. The staff at the front desk were incredible. They were so helpful, polite and gentleman. I forget the gentleman’s name but he is a jujitsu instructor. He was great and so were all his colleagues. They made my stay at the hotel worth it. Pleasure seeing them each day. I would recommend this place to a friend. Hospitality and politeness go along way and I feel I got that here.
