If you want to go relax this is the resort…if you are looking for entertainment there is none other than yoga by the Pool. There is only three restaurantes. The buffet is very good i only wish they had Dominican food. The room Are decorated lovely i enjoyed it

Excelente resort en Bavaro. Completamente renovado, jardines preciosos, playa espectacular. Best Time Ever March 2025 Our trip was made even more special as we were celebrating my wife's birthday, and the resort's incredible staff went above and beyond to make it truly magical. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and hospitality that exceeded all expectations. Unforgettable Guest Experience We were fortunate to have Yohandy De La Cruz as our guest experience guide, and he was nothing short of phenomenal—one of the best we’ve ever encountered. His attention to detail, kindness, and dedication made all the difference. On the day of my wife’s birthday, Yohandy, along with his amazing teammates Fish (Jonh) and Nocturno, created an unforgettable beachfront experience. They set up a beautifully decorated bed on Punta Cana Beach during sunset, complete with personalized touches and stunning floral arrangements. Fish captured every precious moment with breathtaking photos, ensuring we had memories to cherish forever. Silvestre Bar – We met Mairenis, the bartender, but we quickly nicknamed her Piña because of her incredible piña coladas! She was an absolute sweetheart, ensuring we always had a drink in our hands and making every visit to the bar a pleasure. Voltaje Bar – Every night after dinner, we stopped by Voltaje Club, where Tatiana took our drink orders and, along with Fish, made sure we were having a blast. The energy here was electric, and the fun never stopped!

We went for a bachelorette party and had a lovely weekend overall. Food was great, drinks were delicious, and the staff was always ready to attend our needs. As a group of young girls we received some unwanted attention from staff/a guest, but as soon as the hotel was made aware on the first night they immediately took care of it and were constantly making sure we were having a good experience. Granted we were a loud group ourselves, everyone was extremely patient with us and I am overall very happy with how our trip turned out. I would recommend this place and I would stay again myself!

Property was simply beautiful. Staff for the most part was terrific. Bus to and from beach was timely. Food was fair. Rooms were beautifully decorated and spacious. The bad below - Registration process was terrible a nightmare!! No support or assistance for the most part. It took over 45 minutes to complete registration. No elevators to room. Not many staff understood any or most English. No previous information provided for room details. No remotes provided for ceiling fans. Electricity to room was intermittent and one day entirely out. Had to call Maintainence. Only one waste basket throughout room

Zel is a relatively small resort within this complex of Melia properties. The resort was nice and the staff were lovely, especially those working at the concierge. Some of the staff working in the restaurants had limited knowledge of English which made basic things like ordering tea instead of coffee very difficult, and service was consistently slow. The beach is walkable distance but not the '8 minutes' we were quoted, it's more like 15 minutes, and the shuttles were sometimes a 10 minute wait. The beach was very nice and the food at the restaurants was good but not amazing. Overall, it was a good experience and I have no complaints.

I didn’t realize it when booking, but Zel lies within the Melia family of hotel properties. This hotel had only been opened a couple of months and still has a bit of growing pains to go through but overall I would give it a nine out of 10! The service is fabulous as well as the food in the restaurants. There are some things that could be better such as turning down the music in all dining area so you can have a conversation, more umbrellas and tables at the beach and a way for you to know your dining reservations, such as by email text or electronic folio. That being said, we thought the Zel Hotel was magical and would definitely go back! Our hotel room was huge with a Jacuzzi tub both in our room, and on our balcony, there were beautiful pools on the property and a variety of activities, such as fitness classes, craft activities, bike rides, and much more. By the techno music that was being played most of the day it appears as though The Hotel chain thinks this is a place geared for adults or families in their 20s or 30s. I would have to say the average age of the guests were 45 to 50 so the techno music was a little loud and a bit much all the time. Myself and a few other couples did comment on how loud the music was especially in the open air, dining area and management turned it down the last couple days of our stay. I think once the small kinks are worked out this hotel property would definitely get a 10 out of 10 from me.

We really enjoyed staying at Zel. The staff was amazing, especially Enrique & Louis at the Tacorini!! The food was really good for an all-inclusive. Rooms were very clean, the grounds were well maintained, big pool and just a short 15 min walk to the beach. Played tennis and pickleball.
