Fun trip- good value but resort is dated. I would rate 3.8 out of 5 stars. I did much research before booking and booked a swim out in building 7 (7110). We had a nice trip and everything was ok but no wow factor when we arrived. KIDS CLUB- Amazing!!!! My son had the best time.). Alberto, Vero, Caro, Juanita, Rene, Eren are wonderful. You get what you pay for, so if you are looking for true 5 star this is not the resort for you. Restaurants are newly renovated, and we enjoyed our meals. Buffet is good. We did not book DC since I could not get a swim out DC in time- so can’t speak to DC services. We are pool people, but the beach didn’t look inviting for us anyway (sargassum is what it is, I just mean the water itself). Entertainment at night is fun. Just overall the resort is older and needs a facelift. Dress codes are not enforced, so no worries, just not an upscale resort. People wearing tanks and slides at the steakhouse. This didn’t bother our 8-year-old, but I prefer more modern amenities and a more upscale feel. Rooms are older but serviced daily and clean, no issues there. Building 7 is closest to everything, so if you want to be right by the action, good choice.I booked last minute so my budget was a bit smaller than normal, and I was under no illusion of what sort of resort I was booking. If you want a deal, have kids under 10 who could care less about modern feel and nightly turndown service, this is the resort for you.
