location was good. room size was good. the floor was dirty, the bathroom was an eye soar. the fan in bathroom didn't work because it was so full of dust. the door was falling apart in the bathroom, pieces of wood on the door would fall off on the floor. the frame was off the door in the bathroom and the caulking looked like a kindergartener caulked it. the lady that checked us in would not let us check in early even though there was no cars in parking lot. she was just rude. would never stay there again.

The property was fine but i paid extra for the studio suite to have use of the whirlpool tub and itdidnt work. That should have bewn noted in the description of the room. Pretty disappointed

Friendly helpful check-in. Foyer & entry to lobby smells very smoky, need to restrict smoking right outside the door. I was disappointed & surprised to smell so much cigarette smoke when I had to initial a no smoking agreement.

Staff was invisible, except when I checked in. Poor breakfast service, both food quality and service. One of the worst I’ve ever had. No tableware the whole time I was trying to eat and no staff anywhere to request any. Overall this hotel was well below the usual AmericInn standards. But few lodging choices in Prairie du Chien.

Best check in I ever had. Easy and clean thru-out the property. Able to use the pool / Hot tub during my stay. Plenty of good vibes from the staff and a very nice breakfast area in the mornings. The business center was great -NO password needed!

Hotel staff is super friendly and helpful. We were staying on opening weekend of deer season and they had their breakfast ready extra early for hunters to take advantage of. I also saw them doing extra cleaning by doors where dirty boots were coming and going. Thumbs up!

Comfortable bed, spacious room with great walk-in shower! Tasty hot breakfast with mini-waffle maker, fresh fruit. Good coffee & tea available 24/7! Excellent price!

It was a very nice stay. I went for a weekend road trip with my hubby. We were able to go to a very nice supper club. We walked to it from the hotel.

Fine stay for one night
The hotel was nice, no bad smells or dirty areas. The beds were very firm almost hard so that was the main downside. The pool water was quite cool so we just used the hot tub. The breakfast area was nice for it being a cheaper hotel price. The TV volume didn't work at first but the front desk employee got it reset and it worked!

Beds are TERRIBLE! So hard that we went to Walmart and purchased air mattresses to put on top of them. They were extremely painful to try to sleep on. Breakfast definitely lacked options. Staff was basically non-existent. We were there for 3 days and never saw staff at the desk. We had to ring a doorbell on the counter anytime we needed something. Wasn't the cleanest hotel ever and definitely needs some upgrades. There was a huge hole in our bathroom wall where the pipes were. The bottoms of the doors are falling apart (both the bathroom door and the main entry door). Shower fixtures were grungy. Room had a musty smell to it, however we were at least able to open the window, so that helped a little. The positives: Shower had good water pressure. We didn't hear any noise from other guests...although there was only about 6 other cars in the lot, so we may have all been spread out in different areas? Good selection for tv channels. Fridge kept drinks cold. The chair in the room was comfy, although felt a little dirty...we used a flat sheet as a cover for it.

Window in our room opened to the pool - weird. People in the next room were smoking pot. No elevator. It was a place to sleep and leave as quickly as possible.
