The hotel itself was great—clean, comfortable, and with really comfy beds. The staff were friendly enough, and the location was convenient, with easy access to the metro, buses, and free parking.
The one major downside was the restaurant. The bright lighting gave it more of a canteen feel rather than a proper restaurant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The mashed potatoes were chewy and tasteless, the beef cheeks were tough, and even the Francesinha, a signature Portuguese dish, was dry despite the sauce. Of course, that’s just our opinion, but we wouldn’t recommend dining there.
Overall, the hotel was a solid choice for a stay in Porto—just better to eat elsewhere.
