「Las Cruces is a beautiful botanical garden and the accommodation is lovely, with a nice terrace and views. The guide was wonderful and its a great garden for bird watching. Food was good and tea and coffee was always available. The walking outside of the botanical garden was a little less extensive than I had hoped but there is some and the garden itself is magical.」

「This hotel is located in a beautiful town in the mountains with an elevation of about 3500. The place is operated by a very nice couple. I stayed here with my wife and one of our sons. 「Beautiful rainforest property with good birding opportunity, birds song, cicadas, and frogs, but "touristy", so the natural vibe gets ruined. It seems they cater to tour groups, so not very private or queit. Have to pay for 3 meals a day but on their schedule that's too late for serious birding and not as healthy as I'd prefer. I travel solo and do not enjoy sitting by myself or wasting time I could be out finding birds sitting in a restaurant. I go ut birding before daybreak so, lunch as late...
