Because there is no restaurant at the hotel it would be handy to install a mini fridge and a coffee/tea maker. In the nearest village is a supermarket, MD, and everything is very cheap. "We loved that the hotel was just across the road from the train station. We arrived at night and had a room with a balcony overlooking Lake Como. The view in the morning was just awesome! All the staff were really friendly and helpful and spoke English. We went off season so there didn’t appear to be much open nearby apart from a restaurant next door but it was a beautiful location and perfect for what we needed. "
