Nice place, nearly empty for the first few days we stayed, then a wedding on Friday night brought in some people.
The river view from the "river" side room is amazing. The backside rooms look over a reception hall, some wires, a business or two and you can possibly see the mountains in a distance.
Get the BREAKFAST. Its buffet and its big. Plenty of choices. One morning we were the only people eating in a nice place that must seat 100.
The "Chinese" restaurant really doesn't have any Chinese food, serves small portions and the Indian curry was bland. Skip it.
That said, the nearest restaurant or street vendor is about a kilometer away. I RECOMMEND the hotel provide free bicycles (they said they didn't have any for free or for rent) and rent scooters because the hotel aways from everything.
The pool is nice. The pool is big and nice. The pool is well maintained and one can view the river while in it. The wooden pool lounge chairs need simple repairs and refinishing. They look like pool chairs in a $3/night hotel in India.
The cement around the pool area could use a facelift and repairs.
So mostly cheap simple repairs to make this hotel a beautiful, top notch Asian hotel.
