「We used this hotel while walking the nearby Kennet & Avon Canal path. Friendly welcome. The room was spacious; the bed amazingly comfortable. Despite facing a main road, there was no road noise whatsoever due to the efficient triple glazing. A fridge would have been handy, but not a biggie. Room and bathroom very clean. Evening dinner and breakfast very good - tasty and fairly priced. Overall excellent value and would happily recommend and would use again if in the area.」

「Easy check in online prior to arrival. Was welcomed by friendly staff and were shown straight up to our room and advised on the evening meal options. Had dinner in the restaurant which was good, and a range of local beer was available. Room was very comfortable with usual drink options plus a coffee machine. Good options on the breakfast menu, which was delicious. 」

「From the start the receptionist was very friendly and very helpful. The restaurant menu had something for everyone but the dessert menu was lacking. Breakfast was amazing!!! The spa facilities were as expected, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again!」

「It’s a quiet hotel in a rural area so not exactly ’buzzing’. As it’s an older building with add-ons finding your way to some bedrooms can be a story. It’s all fine, but not exactly a memorable experience. 」

「I asked for early check in but didn’t hear back from anyone, so I arrived at 3pm to find early check in had been added without telling me, so I was almost charged for it. Thankfully the person who helped me check in removed it for me. The room was pretty good but the shower head fell off the hose and absolutely drenched me and the whole shower area」

「We’ve booked one night here at first, then we decided to go there one day before and booked one more day. We told the reception lady when we arrived check in, she said it’s ok, no need to do the check in again and we could stay in the same room. The next day at ten mins before ten, a housekeeper locked on our door and told us to check out. We’re surprised and told her our case, she told us to check with the reception. Then the reception said we’ve to check out and come back by 4 to check in...
